when i check the oil on my quad when it is cold it is perfect but when it is warmed up for 5 mins like the manual says it is always high. how do u check your oil??

 

on a cold engine just wipe off the dipstick then just rest it on the threds to check. on dry sump engines id check it when warm, just rember to wate 2-5 min after shutting it down when checkin a hot engine so the oil can drain from the valve train

Always check the oil on your 400 when the engine's hot. The oil expands as it gets warmer and will give an inaccurate reading when cold.
