my g/f got a 2003 4x4 rancher. i got her to get the manual. it's a very good atv. getting an ES would have taken all the fun out of it. i've taken it through mud/water that was well up over the muffler with her on the back and it made it through. i've also heard some people were having problems with the ES and having to pay big bucks to get it fixed.

Excellent choice biglease, and I'm very happy for you now that your able to get you ATV. I know how you feel, I felt the same way when I first purchased my 2001 Rancher back in 2000. I remember being filled with so much excitement and joy. Your Rancher will be your best friend, it will get you where you need to go, and it will always get you home.

I have the rancher manual, however, in my opinion the ES models are very very reliable....the people in out group who ride them are having zero problems so far....i would not be afraid of buying an ES model.

hey 03RaptorLE i see you have a rancher 4x4 have you ever noticed on a slippery surface that one of your front tires doesnt spinn as much as the other or not at all. i started noticing that mine started to do that in the snow but never noticed it in mud or anything else. just wondering if my quad has a flaw or what. thanks a lot if you can help me.
