Is There anything I can do to increase the top end on my recon? I went out riding today and was playin around and givin it large amounts of throttle. So my dad asks if I wanna race. I say yea. We take off and I jump in the lead but he eventually catches me and runs away. We also met up with a guy on an Xpedition 250. he was lookin at mine and seen my 250 sticker and said thats what his was too. then he said: I wonder if yours is faster than mine. We wouldve raced but my dad wouldnt let me. I think I wouldve gotton spanked anyway. Opinions Please

 

what does your dad ride?

 

First of all...what kind of 4-wheeler does your dad have? And also a Recon doesn't have a 250 sticker. I'd get a SuperTrapp IDS2,Jet Kit,bigger tires, and a K&N filter....that will give you 8 mph more speed.

 

my dad owns a 300 4x4. my recon does have a 250 sticker. I got it from Dennis Kirk.

i used to own a 3004x4 and a recon at the same time know i only own a recon sold the 4x4 but dosnt matter who was rideing the recon it would beat the 300 a recon is faster than a 300 i beat it by 8 quad lengths with my recon let my friend ride the recon and me ride the 300 he still beat me not bye as much though

 

YOU COULDNT OF GOT BEAT BY A 300, I RACED A 400 4X4 TODAY AND I BURNED HIM. AND ALL I HAVE ON MY RECON IS A K&N FILTER

nothing can beat a 300 4x4.........relability and overall package wise!

take that 250 sticker off and get a rubican sticker for it....sellotape a soda pop bottle to the carrier to the back and connect a hose to it and say it runs on nitrous!

what ever you do ride it hard!

or you can re jet it ......bigger head pipe and drill holes in the air box for starters
