250r HELP - will not run right.
Thank you all. You've been very helpful. I'll pull the carb back off again and replace the reeds since they seem to be the least expensive option, and it can't hurt. I'll check the jetting and clean it again and see what happens.
As far as mods, it's piped with a uni air filter. I'm still running with the air box cover on though. Will the 38mm air striker be to much, or can I jet it down for a mostly stock motor? I wouldn't mind having a bigger carb, because we all know stock never stays that way. Well, it sounds like worst case I'll be dropping a couple of bills on a new carb. Not bad for a $500 quad though Yeah, what a steal eh?
Anybody else from Michigan know some good areas to ride? I usually ride trails around Atlanta or Baldwin. I haven't been to Silver lake on the quad yet, but will hopefully this summer.
Thanks again to every one. Ride on.

Run a ground wire from the stator cover along your other wires up to the frame ground on the left side by the rad. bolt the new ground wire in with the harness ground. If you have a bad ground that will fix it. A poor ground will cause all kinds of weird problems.

The guy I bought it from threw the chain. The case was busted underneath the shifting shaft. Luckily I work with some really good welders. I plan on replacing both case halves eventually. At a couple of bills a piece though, I'll see how the repair holds up.
Thanks again. I'll keep ya posted.
