Recon Question
#1
Have a new Recon, It starts fine with or without the choke but should the bike idle fast when its on full choke , If I let off the gas it will stall until its warned up, any body else have this problem?
Second Question, is the gear shifter vibrates alot when your at a certain rpm.

skatermike24,
Whenever you use the choke on a Recon, the engine won't idle any faster than it normally does.
When starting the engine sometimes if you let off the gas too soon it will stall, just keep your thumb on the gas for a little and it will start up,most of the time you don't even have to use the choke if you keep pressin the gas.
About the gear shifter, I don't know.I only have Electric Shift.
Hope this helps.

I don't even use the shoke on my recon. Sometimes on really cold days I will pull it all the way up to start it and then just push it back down and use the trottle to warm it up. It has been this way since it was brand new too.
I haven't noticed any vibration in my gear shifter. Is it when you are driving it or in neutral revving it, also how bad is it vibrating?? I wouldn't worry about it to much if it is just a little because many things vibrate on my bike. When at high RPM's the racks and fenders sound like they're going to fall off. LOL.

Cool just checking on the warm up, its starts right up with no choke, which I thought was alittle crazy but seems like yours is the same way, the shifter vibrats cause of the length, it does it when your between 2nd and 3rd, know big deal, thanks

i have a recon...its about a year old now and it still takes 4ever to get warmed up. i have to have it on full choke for about a min b4 it can stay runnin longer than 30 sec! i thought it was because it was still fairly new but...now im not sure. im thinkin it might because im not able to ride it everyday...could that be the case?
