ESR 370 Powervalve.........

I gots a esr 370 non pv trx 9 port and i know one thing...it would out drag my old psi 425 power valve motor, but there agian if you chained them up, that 425 would pull it down the street. Thats where a big fat 86mm piston will get you, coupled up with a pv. I have a few opinions.....one is if you ride pure sand, no need for a pv, im on the gas in every gear, if your on and off and coming out of corners and need less shifting then a pv is the perfect solution. Just not worth all the extra money for the pv if you ride the terrain i feel i ride in, up dunes, flat trackes and dragging. I wish i had heard everyone who supports the whole stock radiator thing before i bought into a 600.00 bad azz radiator making sure my massive investment was safe. Everyone needs to consider their jetting when talking about temps, has probably as much to do with heat then the actual cooling system. I can say that i have a very good opinion about esr. I had ct,psi, ftz, trinity, and now esr, and i like the time they take with you, they are polite, innovative with their billet parts, and i feel their motor is a fantastic piece. (by the way i hope esr sends me a free motor for the endorsment!) enough writing, great topic tho

psi did do the porting and i thought it had a real nice pull to it but this ers is faster. I also now run a pvl which anabled me to run my own timing and whithout that big ol heavy flywheel it spins quicker( so that has to factor in).so what i get from all your conversations with people beech is that no one really ports good, its funny how everyone's porting sucks. And dont worry beech, your not going to hurt my feeling when im sure you will turn my post into another WWIII, but thats what good forums do i suppose.

How do i post pics in the gallery? For the other guy. Who all do i say their porting sucks? Trinity, CT, LRD, and ESR? wow, thats a huge list! If you'd like here a few good names K&T, A&S, Port majic, Precision Porting, Tyson, some of MP's stuff, WK, ect ect. These arent your "assembly line" type companies and they are able to dedicate their time to more custom motors. That is why i feel their motors are better, and the results show. I am not here to start a WW, everybody just seems to like flaming wars on here. PSI's porting does suck. I have had their motor, infact i bought Daryl raths old PSI motor, it was ported with a TT job, it sucked azz and was slow. So i sent it back to PSI and i talked to bruce and sent it him and had his "expert" porter redo it. Hell it was slower then the TT port! I dont flame people unless ive had personal experience. Now our PSI is a missle.

ok 2 things then i get to go get some shut eye....... I feel that these new pv setups might take away from some of the cooling capacity in the most crucial area, the exhaust port. What do you think about that??? Beech, would you like to share with us where your picking up an extra 10 horse?? What part of the cylinder is getting re-worked and what are you basically doing to these area's?

no i wont give you my secrets. Its all trial and error. Or you can pay somebody for their trial and errors and gain knowledge from that. But yes you can gain an easy 10 horses on a cylinder, some people can do it. As far as your PVL, how far are you advancing it? Are you still on gas? Ever tried your luck with the CR ignition? I prefer the CR over the PVL

havent had a chance to work with the cr ignition but would like to. i like the pvl except for having to set it up, not to bad though. I am retarded (lol) 30 thousands btdc, not sure what it is in degree's. I am looking for top end and thats one way to do it. if it was a 250 i would take it up to 35 thou.
