Back to the CR500. Why not just purchase a used CR500, add some premix to the tank and ride it as is.
Its just so much easier to do this and there will be much less problems.

Im glad you came to your sense's and used a period. Sorry you have had a bad childhood. A lot of us have, including myself. As far as you earning your keep, by the age i was 17 i managed the 3rd largest online hobby store in the country, and at the age of 20 i had my bachelors degree in eletrical engineering. I now design and install satalite communication devices. Not bad for a 20 year old huh. You never did ask for pictures of my bikes, i guess i called your bluff huh. We've all had hard lives, what does that have to do with you using punctuation though? Yanno practice makes perfect. It should just come natural homie. Not raggin on ya, just curious. For me it comes natural, anyways. Ill leave you alone.

You know, Raptor, I was having that same thought.
If you were gonna buy a CR500, and go to all the work of making it fit in a quad frame, you are in for quite a bit of engineering. Not only the vibration, but re-engineering some of the ergos to compensate for the changes in weight distribution, and power delivery. Might be easier to buy the CR, and drive it. I had a buddy that used to race open class MX with a lightly modded CR500 (a little porting job, and either a shaved head or high-comp piston), and it was a bike for class A riders (he was, I wasn't) on up!
I was actually faster on my 250 than on his 500. It was actually scary to open the throttle up, when the power hit, it really HIT.
However, if you are still determined to put a moto-x bike engine in a quad, I would heed other good advice given here, and find an engine with a counterbalancer in it. If the frame starts to crack from all the vibes, you may not know it until you land off a big double.
As to Insane's grammer... Yea it is hard to read, but he could always get a job at Dell doing phone tech support (if you never called there after 5PM, you should, just for the laugh. I swear they are all foreigners with a 'cheat sheet' sitting in front of them. All they could ever suggest to me was to restart the system).

Farmr123,
I thought I always wanted a big bore bike for trail riding so I got me a
CR500 and found out that just because you have all that power doesn't
mean its usable and the suspension was harsh and set up for more
jumping than I was ever going to do. The bike was sold and I traded down
to a KDX220 and had a better time and was just as fast on the 220
because the power and the suspension could be dialed in better for the
woods. Used the 220 up and I traded down again to the KDX200 that I
purchased last year and like it even better for woods/trail riding.
I like the quad world but I have been a dirt biker before quads were
around. So its great to have both.
So the CR500 motor goes with the CR500 frame, but thats just my old back
woods opinion.

YES the cr 500 does vibrate but if done right you wont have a problem cause i have one in my banshee and i will soon be running alcohol and about the cracked frame it wont happen if done right so keep in mind if you want the power you can do anything
#38
LOL id venture to say ours was done right. It was in a custom built polyurethan mounted chassis with poly mounted stem, clam, and bars. You cant tell me i didnt have it built right. It was still no fun, even after all that rubber mounting

RAPTORYFM660r- i know what you mean, i can ride my XR250 faster in the woods than my brothers CR250, the power hit is way too hard to be suited for woods riding, and the suspension is harsh enough to give you hemroids!

At our place I am fastest on the KDX200. The XR250 and the KDX200 are very alike in there manners.
I just needed that 2 stroke fix.
