yz 426f over 250r?
i was wondering what the pros and cons are for a 426f in a aftermarked 250r frame for mx racing. Do they have good track performance? How do they perform over a 250r? 400ex? Right now i have a 250r and im thinking about giving it up for a fully raced out 426f. any suggetions?

The 426 is a pretty fast motor. I just depends on your riding style and what you prefer. If you feel more comfortable w/ a broad power band and less clutch work, than go w/ the 426, if you like a shorter, more snappy power band, stick w/ your R. 2-strokes are "harder" to ride and require more work on the track, especially in corners, but if you can keep it in the power band good and know how to work the clutch good, you can be fast on it. 4-strokes are easier to be fast on, but the easier ride could be the downfall due to the fact that some people will tend to get lazy while riding. Like you can go into a corner a gear high and still have the torque to make the corner fast, BUT that could also slow you down considerably.
As for the YZF motor. One of the cons is that it's a b!tch to start. Like if you stall in a race, you better hope you have enough of a lead on other people to get it up and running again before they all catch you. I'm told once the 426 gets warmed up, it's just that much harder to start.
In the end, it just depends on what you prefer... 2 or 4-stroke.
