Could a XR600 or 650 motor be put in a 400EX??
Dirtwheels did a 600ex project quad a couple of years ago,they just did a refab on it an issue or two ago.

I think the 600 in Dirtwheels was in a 300EX frame??????? The 650 in a 400EX frame thing has been done a bunch of times. I will try to find a link to some of them.

But if you're gonna do it you might as well do it right! The 600 doesn't put out much more HP than the 400.
The WR250 puts out 1HP less than the xr600, so mabey another motor would make more sense.

I would also go with the XR650r motor over the 600. I think the old 600s are air cooled. I would however definitely gusset the frame to handle the hp and the new level of abuse it'l be taking. You can put almost any engine in any frame you could fit it in if you have the know how and the welding skills.
