i dotn know if that is true. One of my buddies has the Sparks 440 kit, and it has Stage II Hot Cam, i dont recall him using aftermarket rocker shafts....he just has what the kit came with, it never over heats, and it produces alot of power, i do believe there is rejetting involved in order to keep it idle in cold weather......i hope you find some of this useful.

I love the way it works in my raptor I had heard of failures in the past when using aftermarket cams with Honda rockers...Hey Tony how does the stage cam compare with Honda's HRC cam...Ive been using it for my customers it just costs a lot

Raptorjay,
There is very little difference in the HRC and the Stage 1. The HRC has a little better performance at the VERY top rpm but lacks the delivery, low and midrange that ours has. The Stage 2 has less bottom, more mid and a lot more top.

IMS Desert Tank
Alba K&N/jet kit

Hot Cams Int/Exh
13.5:1 Wiseco Piston
Head Deck/Valve Grind
Hot Cams are a great improvement. You find alot of stock valves that dont seat properly.
A little valve work and port/polishing goes along way

I got a stage II hotcam for my 400 and it made a big difference. I am using stock springs and rockers because thats what Hotcam recommends. I have had it for about 3 months and I haven't had any problems.
