Default KFX400 VS RAPTOR

im 15 and weigh 135 lbs and I have a raptor and my dad has a Z. The z revs alot quicker and has good acceleration but not much torque like the raptor. I love to ride them both but my dad says the z is a little under powered for his wieght (200), he likes the raptors pullin torque power but like i said their both awesome quads.

Even though you don't mention it, maybe you would consider the new V-force 700. People can say what they want about it, and that an automatic that weighs that much isn't a true sport quad, but I think it will be a real bad a@@ machine. The automatic should make it easy to drive, and the power and torque it will produce is unmatched by any stock quad, sport/utility as well. Maybe I'm slightly biased because I have an 02' prairie 650, but I have been very impressed with it for 2000 miles and it is still the quickest utility atv around, in fact it will keep up with a banchee until 50, and that impressive for a 600 pound machine with a winch, and 205lbs. guy riding it. The new 700 is 100lbs. lighter and has more power, torque, and a tuned tranny. It is worth considering, because it will be a wild ride, no matter if you consider it a sport quad or not.

I'd buy neither...........But outta the two I would chose the Z(kfx)...........But why buy a Z when the 400EX performs just as good and cost a lot less?...........But, thats just me and IMO.

get the kfx. I hate raptors after owning one. If you want to do any sort of MX dont even consider getting a raptor. If dunes is the only thing you do then get the raptor, but dont touch an 01. They fixed all the main problems, but that doesnt mean they dont break down still.

if you find good deals, you should be able to do it all for around $7,500

Untouchable until a stock YFZ/R comes around

The raptor handles like **** and is plagued with problems, quite a few people will tell you the same. The Z400/KFX400 isn't worth the money when you can get a more reliable, better built, less expensive machine for a lot less, as long as reverse isn't an issue (400EX).
