Im thinkin of getting new tires for my 02 recon es. i dont want to have to get new rims so what tires would ne1 suggest. And if you kno of ne websites please tell me thanx

 

What type of riding do you do?? If you do normal trail riding with a wide variety of terrain I would suggest a tire like the gators, mudlites, or bearclaws. I really like my bearclaws and I ride hardpack trails, mud, snow and just about every other type of terrain out there. They have a good grip and if aired up good I can still do good power slides. They also wear very good. If you don't drive in any mud I would suggest a less aggresive tire like shredders or bandits.
You can probally find most these tires at rocky mountain atv, dennis kirk or highlifter.

Surprisingly, I really like the stock tires!! In fact, the Recon is the only bike I have ever owned, where I didn't change out the stock tires right away.

 

The stockers are good,good grip good sliding and very light with only a little sidewalll flex

 

Try the ITP mudlite or Dirt Devil 22X11X9. You should be able to get them for $55.00 a tire mounted on your rims. Both tires are light weight and good traction.

 

Im thinkin of goin wtih the Dirtdevils on .190 rims, but i dont have enough for tires and the exhaust system with k&n power kit. Which should i get first?

 

Putting big clunkey oversize treads on a light little bike like the Recon, might be a mistake?????
