TRX450R is coming

HEY Sandgod!!! I heard Cannondale was coming out with a new limited edition quad. There going to call it a CHAPTER 11 440. Atleast Honda makes a engine that's in high demand from consumers & not THE BANK!

Actually C-dales sales went up 300% in the last year... unfortunately they didn't seem to be to good w/ money cause they lost money every time they sold a quad.
It's sad that you all think it's so funny that C-dale went under, and then you'll turn around in another post and talk about how much you support quad racing while the C-dale was the best thing to come to quad racing since the 2-stroke, and was the only company to offer any support to us loyal quad riders.
I'm not brand loyal in any way, and if Honda is making a quad that is actually decent (i.e. capable of making more than 40HP without constantly breaking down because the stock parts aren't capable of handling it), than I'll probably buy it. I don't care about who I buy from... I just care about which quad is actually worth a crap when it comes to racing, and so far it looks like Honda is to scared to make anything like that. You all don't have to get so pissed off when someone tells you that, it's just the truth.
P.S. 250R4LIFE - I wasn't refering to your post (actually it was pretty funny), but I'm just reffering to the fact that you say that because you are getting offended when someone bad mouths Honda. Brand loyalty is retarded dude... especially if it's for a company that doesn't give a rats *** about us quad riders.

MxDale71, I respect your post. But just so you know, I didn't think it was funny when Cannondale filed bankrupt. I hated to hear it. It doesn't help are sport as a whole at all. The more manufactures that are out there competing to put out a good product, the more quality ATV's we will see out there. I will be there first to admit when Honda has a top of the line product, They seem to sit on it until there other
competitors come out with something better. I love seeing all the different brand of bikes. There's a bike out there for everybody. And no one bike is for everybody. I hope the Cannondale Motor Division gets bought out by someone reliable, And they continue to compete. If it wasn't for Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha & Bombadier, Honda would probably be content with the Honda 400ex for another 10 years. I know I can't ride my Honda 250r forever. Someday I'm going to want something new. & when that time comes, I will buy whatever bike (No matter what brand) fits me best. & if the 400ex is the best they can do, It won't be a Honda. My wife has a 400ex. & she loves it. But
it's not fo me. But don't get me wrong. I am a Honda guy all the way. & like alot of Honda fans, Were excited & hoping Honda will come out with something that will compete with the new performance quads that are dominating today. Because we all know what Honda is capable of producing. When they want to.
P.S. I know your not getting on me about my post. But just to explain. It was a comment I couldn't resist since a Cannondale owner popped in had to laugh at us for being optimistic about Honda coming out with a TRX 450r. For all we know, he could be right. Well I got to go know. I'm going to go hunt me down some Honda's to sit on. I want to atleast be able to say Ive sat on more Honda's than Sandgod has owned.

Not to start a flame but here's my reasoning:
400ex motor
Raptor motor
Z400 motor
All motors are from a pre existing something. Bombardier and Polaris don't have dirtbikes or streetbikes so they had to design something. If Honda comes out w/ a 450f I'll be the first to eat my words, but I highly doubt it is gonna happen. Probably be a 650 and it will come off an existing motor that is, or was, still being produced and isn't in real high demand. Big company's follow proven track records that will keep costs down and the dollars coming in.
Dirtbikes = Innovative designs
Quads= Leftovers............. Sad but true..

I agree with BadBronco, all the mentioned motors (400EX, Z400 and the Raptor) use parts from the crank and up. The cases were modified for a counterbalancer and heavier-duty transmission gears( and different ratios). If honda does use the CRF450 motor the head, jug, piston and rotating assy. will be the only parts shared between the quad and the bike. The cases will be a different design w/ a counterbalancer and different gears. Hopefully the motor doesn't lose much power in the conversion.
