300 EX suspension ideas
#1
I was thinking of some ideas that might or might not work!
Will the longer 400 EX front or rear shocks work on a 300? Will it screw up the camber?
Also I would like to lengthen my swingarm. I feel it would give the machine a better ride. How much should I lengthen it? Is this expensive to do or is it something I can have a welding shop do.
These are just some ideas I have been kicking around. I use the machine for fast trail riding and gravel pits. Hope to get on the track this year!

With a little modifying you can put a 350X swingarm and shock on the 300EX and the shock is better the swingarm is about 1.5 inches longer
and you can buy a weld in kit to convert front suspension to that of a 250r.
good luck

I have 250R front shocks on my 300EX frame. I made my mounts myself, cost me about $10 for the steel at Lowe's. The 400EX shocks work well also. One other note on the front shocks is if you do use the larger shocks up front, it is better to also use the 400EX A-arms because they are a little wider and will keep the same angle as the stock front shocks. I currently have the 250R shocks with stock A-arms and the shocks are a little too straight up and down which causes the front end to dive hard in the corners at high speed. I am currently hunting for a 350X swingarm and shock for the rear. A few guys I know have did this conversion and it is a real good setup. It's just not that east to find a good deal on the parts needed.
