Default NOS for 400ex?

I would not do a dry shot. All my buddies use a fogger system

NOS make a kit called sneaky pete. It has a 10oz. bottle. You can jump with it and don't have to worry about it falling off. Some kits come with the 2 pound bottles but they are to big and weigh to much. The sneaky pete kit only cost $225 or so. It's a dry system.

i would make it trigger at wot, that way, whenever you need a boost, just hit the throttle. Now what i want to know is, how to make a fogger in front of the intake manifold. I was thinking that if i make a peice of aluminum pipe to fit in the boot and move the carb out a little, would i have to make mods to my airbox?

why don't you like the dry system? Do your friends ad a fuel pump to run the wet system?

I guess if youre going to only hit it once in a while the extra work setting up the wet system is worth it, more power. What do you guys use the no2 for? Hill climb....pulling..etc? Or just for kicks?

Nitrous has changed so much in use since I first started using it in '80

i was planning on running a fuel pump to pressurize the shot and to pump raw fuel into the system so i wouldnt create a lean condition and burn down the engine

dry systems are traditionally much smaller shots or use another method of fuel enrichment to avoid the lean condition. Wet systems are the most powerful systems I've seen, but require a bit more work. Also if you have any trouble with the fuel supply on a wet system it is by far the most spectacular explosion......I saw a guy launch a fuel tank off a bike once that must have gone 200' straight up. Went back to see how he was, shaken, but not stirred....plus he still had the family jewels, or so he said....lol

maui- yes they add a fuel pump. To use a dry shot you would need to bump the main jet up a few sizes. When you are not on the NOS (lol) you would be running rich. I have on friend that runs alky. When he is on the NOS he has a fuel pump pumping gas out of a overflow bottle. On a raptor i have seen a few that bought the aluminum carbs plate from trinity and mounted the fogger nozzles in there. I have seen a lot that just drill a hole and stick it in the carb boots.
