its been my expirence that people who are as brand loyal as your self can't ride to save their lives. Where did you see anyone say they needed no2 to beat a stock z? Real riders are fast on every thing they ride....

weekend warrior mentioned a sneaky pete kit on your 250r. Does NOS work better then alky in 2-strokes? and does it give you alot higher top end? enough to beat a modified banshee?

The myth about alcohol is that it give you more power. Not true. It lets you run a lot cooler, so you can push it more. But gas has more btu's than alcohol does. Gas makes more power, works better with nitrous oxide etc. Alcohol is alot more forgiving. But it also has a smaller window of being tuned correctly. If you are running a blown 526 hemi with 60 psi of boost, you can screw up your tune up and not have a basket full of parts..... with Gas.....no way. I've run motors with 16 to 1 compression on alcohol that only made 1100 hp....no blower, no nitrous. I could drop it down to 14.5-15 and maybe get 1200 hp (on gas), but if I'm off on the tune up I'm gonna lose the ring lands, or just not make as much power. Plus I don't run a cooling system with that set up, with gas, you need too.
