honda is going to get passed by this time..long time ago when honda made GOOD quads..they stopped after 89.the last 250r..it was the best quad ever made..now looks like they are going to wait another 10 years to make a quad that will be competion to the quads today..

 

go back to the suzuki board, nobody wants you here. They are supposed to be coming out with a new bike (at least service honda) id shut your mouth and put that slow azz suzuki on meth if your hoping to compete.

 

If i were you i'd shut up, because you know that Honda will have the best bike out there, just not the first! they think it through so they don't release a peice of crap!!

So what did you do for the 15 years that Suzuki didn't have a sport quad??

Honda opened the door again for high perfomance quads with the 400EX. It may be a little outdated now, but they are working on a new quad.

 

Yup, I agree, I heard it from a very reliable source(will remain anonymous) that Honda is currently testing their new crf450 four stroke quad & expects it to make it to the market by the end of 2003.
I aint nobody but the source is!

Thanks beechman. However, I will give two hints(& no more). The source is one of the top atv engine builders in the US & is associated with one of the top atv magazines in the US. Lets face it, specualation is what we peeons do but if a reliable source told me they know testing is going on, they must have seen it themselves. Be patient oh disbeleivers, the day will come.

Take a look at the HP numbers for the crf450 & the 450f motorcyles in the recent January Dirt bike(not Dirt wheels) issue & you'll see that the 450f(not the crf450) puts out close to 48hp & they said it was arm streching power that wears the rider out, ya baby! Also, they rated the crf450(not 450f) engine better(even though it had less hp) since the power was smoother & more usuable. When I asked my source how true it was that we would be seeing new 450 quads from Honda & Yamaha, they said it is just a matter of time!

One other note, I just hope that before Yamaha puts the 450f in a new quad that they change the tranny from 4 gears to 5 & add reverse as well. Sory, but my source couldn't confirm any of that.
