What is a good 300ex hopup kit?
#1
I am in the process to have my little 300ex do a little motor work so my G/F can get around in the dune. She used to ride the raptor and it just too much for her to handle. she like the 300ex alot and complain to me that it underpower of climbing dune hill. I knew that but I don't have trouble doing that.....
I have look into Powroll kit and seem it good, anybody have any idea on 300ex kit?
Thanks.....

I wouldn't do anything internally yet they will be unreliable if you do to much work like making it a 330CC in an engine thats designed to be 289CC it won't keep up for long. First think I did was get a pipe/ filter/ jets and it made a huge difference myns close to a stock 400 in a drag. I would get a FMF Power core 4 and a uni filter, for jets I have a 132 in myn and it runs very smooth I think stock is 125, turn the air-screw out 2 1/2 turns and leave the clip in stock position it will sputter if not.

Anything up to the 352 kit is pretty reliable. Heck, my 410 on alky is just hard on rings. Really that engine was only designed for 248cc (250x).
Powroll exhaust is the best if you aren't noise restricted. It is loud. Could be because it is behind my 410 though. The stock 300 compression is very low. About 9.5 if I remember right. Go with a higher compression, up to 10.5 on premium and up to 12.5-13 on race or alky. There is a lot of power just in the compression. A good cam from powroll will also help.

The 330 kits are very reliable. Anything over 352 is a lot of extra maintance. I'm running the powroll 288 kit on my 250X with their complete exhaust cam and valve springs. The powroll exhaust isn't overly loud I dont think so anyway. Compared to piped raptors, 400EX's and other quads it's the quietest that I have come across.
