Default 250R adequacy????

I've been thinking of a new quad for a while now, and was always afraid of the two-stroke. Mainly because i've heard rumors and such.......So if someone would please set me straight on what has to be done to keep a 2-stroke healthy and running differently from a 4-stroke...
Thank you

You never know, there may be one more "R" owner???

To much to write on this subject. Your best bet is to find someone near you that knows something about 2 strokes and that will be willing to help you along the way. There's alot to learn, and you will have fun doing it! Working on a two stroke is very simple anyways!

If you have the time and money to work on a two stroke than the 250R is awsome, and its got the most aftermarket parts available, i used to run a Banshee, but now with work i cant find any time to do the maintaince so i went to 4 strokes, just get the big ones(DS650/660R) and you have ALMOST as much fun!
the bottom line is you really need to rebuild two strokes about every 80hrs max, very inexpensive and lots of fun but need to have time on your hands to enjoy that hobby.
