Hi I need some help picking the right quad. I ride alot of trails with my friend and we also race for fun. My blaster just isnt fast enough so i need a new quad. My friends have 3 Raptors and a baja DS. So I want something to keep up and beat them. I could get an 88 250r for a good price but its bone stock. I like the Raptor but I dont want to be a copy cat. I was waiting for the new Honda quad but its not here yet so let me know what you think. Thanks.

Thats true I heard that it has a great motor but isnt it slower than a Raptor? And how is the suspension and handling?

 

How bout a kfx400 or z400 and buy some aftermarket parts for it, if your friends have stock raptors you should only need to buy a few aftermarket parts.

 

Dont not buy a raptor cause you dont want to copycat someone, that is rediculous, Be happy you can get a chance to test ride those machines, rider your friends and decide what you like and go for it, Raptors a great machine, If i were you id give your friend DS650 a trY!!

Buy the R and don't look back. You might not be the fastest in the drags but everywhere else you will rule. Drop a 310 in it and you will have it all, speed and handling.

You have a chance to buy a bone stock 88 250R at a good price and you can't decide!! PM me and let me know where that thing is at, you won't have to worry about it any longer!!!

 

The 250R is not in perfect shape. Needs: new handle bars, ignition switch, brake lever, new fenders, grab bar and the rear brakes needs to be but back on it. He wants 2500$ Canadian for it. So thats like 1250$ US lol. I rode it a few times. Starts great. I think he put a clutch kit in it but thats it. I would love to try a Raptor but my friends wont let me. They dont want me to ride it like I ride my Blaster. (hard) And its for all of them their first quads ever! They started with friggin Raptors! I seen them crashed a few times out of inexperience. I need a bike that will last! I blew 2 pistons trying to follow these guys on my blaster. They leave in the morning around 9 am and go trail riding till 8:30 pm. Thats why I m a litle affraid of the 2 stroke.
