Default 250r vs. banshee

I have had a banshee and a 250r> i loved the sound of the banshee and the higher rpms that it is famous for . But I met a guy that bought 250r and put about 2500 dollars into them and whooped banshees at the dunes all day. I had a banshee with pt pipes , k&n filter, head mods, wiseco pistons and his 250r put me to shame. I decided to sell and buy a 250r Ive had it for 2 years now and I wouldnt trade it for anything. A banshee in general will always win in a straight line but, the 250r is lighter ,more manuverable, has way better handling characteristics. Besides If you want to upgrade a banshee you need to buy 2 of everything!

Amen. I've had both bikes too. Right now I have an 03 Banshee that doesn't even scare me.
My next bike will probabally be a 250R again. I shouldn't have sold my last two..

I just bought an 03 Banshee. The HP isn't what I was expecting. Besides a pipe , I'm holding off on buying a pipe,. Is there any small upgrade that I can make to my bike to give it some more punch?

Thanks.

Not one of you know real power till you have a moter that will run 4.3. in a 100 yard at 70 + miles a hour .My 440 banshee will waste all most any 250R unless it a rotax in a 250r FRAME . HONDAS ARE BAD BUT NOT DRAG RACING!

Too bad i know of several 250r based motors that run sub 4.3's. Why do you consider a 440 rotax/250r based motor an exception when your racing your 440 banshee? Its cool though, you dont like fair play...i guess that is understandable.

You miss understand I wasn't talking about what you thought I was. I honestly drag race 3 time a month at different tracks and the best time I have ever seen out of a drag racing 250R is 4.69 and I mean A real 250R not a rotax or a stroker or any other not real 250R moter. i'm not trying no pick a fight I love 250R's I have A 88R i love it . And It has a 310 pro x cyclinder and ported for dragracing it fast but not like my drag banshee. Also for your info i'm on a racing team called western racing out of Oklahoma .And I still using my stock cyclinders on my banshee not a aftermarket cylinder. New Race ATV's???? Where!?!?! The only "Race" ATV on the market right now is the Banshee...
Big difference b/w Race and Sport ATV's!

2004ds650 you have never ridden a 250r before have you? They spin way more than banshees. But they can still get the holeshot on any surface.
