Honda did a good job when they introduced the 450 to the general public, but they forgot one thing. What happens if you accidently turn the atv over and break the digital readout equipment. it really looks like honda would have thought about making a rack or tubing that covered and protected the electronic box or dashboard which ever best describes it. There has got to be some kind of aftermarket protector out there. I know though it is not a bulldozer or a submarine, but you never know what circumstances are going to appear. I hear that to replace the part can be very pricey.

A replacement LCD is going to cost you about $200.

The 450 has more protection than does the Rancher!

If you ride it correctly, i.e., don't turn it over, you will not have to worry about what it costs.

Would a bolt on protection bar be of interest? That is someting that could be fabricated and ready to go in a very short time.
