Whats the best fuel? I used to use some turbo blue and the last time I used some I blended 117oct with premium.

I usually use a mix of 50/50 of the higest octane I can get around here which is 110 and premium gas. I love it. As far as best fuel I guess that's preference. Your mix of fuels sounds smokin (117 oct)!!

I have to disagree. Turbo blue is the worst race fuel I have ran or seen ran. I personally run Phillips B32. I have ran Torco and loved it but it is hard to find around here anymore. Sunnoco seems to be the fuel of choice for local drag cars though.

Well, it doesn't mix with Benol. This is a reason that has arised in the past couple of months. My main reasons stem from running it in my 250x and my truck a couple of years ago. First my 250x seemed to require different jetting with every jug I bought. The fuel wasn't old because a couple of times it came from a brand new barrel. Since this, I realize it isn't as pure as other fuels. Turbo blue seemed to cause hesitation in throttle response compared to TORCO. TORCO is the fuel that I went to after turbo blue. My spark plugs looked much cleaner after changing to TORCO.

Like I said, I now run B32. My local dealer ran out of it and tried to slip some TBlue in my jug. They are both blue. We have had the conversation many times of how I hate TB and he said there was no difference. Well, other than it not running right, the Benol seperated after the first night of racing and my bowls were full of straight oil.

Everyone has their own opinions. I have heard of many drag racing friends who swore by TB until they tried something else. I honestly know of none of my friends that run Turbo Blue anymore.

VP is the best...what kind of compression/timing are you running to use that kind of octane? To much octane will actually slow down the motors burn rate. VP has some new fuels meant specifically for four strokes that has lots of oxy in it.

VP just came out with a new race fuel designed for fourstrokes, it was in dirtwheels couple months back, I think they said it was like $8 a gallon if my memory serves me right, but its not legal to run in AMA Races. I haven't tried it yet but do plan on it in near future.

I am guessing the new VP doesn't have the right specific gravity?
