Guys, guys, guys. Lets get a little more realistic here, 75-79? hard to believe. 64mph when all stock? very hard to believe. sorry guys but those numbers just arent realistic. I would really like to believe them, I am a loyal 250X owner myself, and i wish i had a 300EX. It just doesnt seem possible when you acutually geared it down quad_300EX. In no means am i ripping on you or slamming you, it just seems hard to believe. And blaster85, shut up and ride.

RangerSX is correct, I used to ride a 300EX that was ported, bored carb, cam, high compression piston, modified rev limiter, advanced ignition, larger airboot, UNI filter , and Supertrapp exhaust, and much more. Yes it ran well, maybe 30 horsepower, but even with trail tires (22 inch diameter) and geared one tooth taller on the countershaft, I was lucky to exceed 65 mph. So I'm sorry your dreaming if you think a stock 300EX putting out 19 horsepower will hit 74-79 mph, I don't think so.
Put it this way, my 330R puts out 60+ horsepower, and I'm maybe able to reach 70-80 with MX gearing. I could gear it exceed 100 mph, but I do have plenty of extra horsepower to use that is currently wasted, so if its geared higher more power will then be used. But a 300EX is using everything it has as it is, so gearing a stock one up high enough to even reach 65 mph would significanly slow down its reaction.

12/35 75mph. I think he can do it. He never mentioned what surface he was on nor did he mention if he was on an incline, etc... He also didn't say how far it took him to get there. All of you know that the gearing of a quad is set up so that you can run it up to the rev limiter in top gear and "feel" that the bike could do more. I think with that gearing he could get there on cement with a flat or downhill slope.

Ummmm I highly doubt that a grizzly will do anything over 55 mph. I think that many other knowledgeable ATVer's will agree with me on this one. Now now, there is nothing to get pissed about, really there isnt. You may THINK your quad goes that fast, but just having a speedometer on a grizzly doesnt mean jack. sorry to burst your bubble!

Well you may not beleive my stock 300ex will do 64 but until i have someone clock me with radar i will continue to think it will. Iknow its not the fastest thing out there but it is plenty fast for me and i enjoy to ride it fast or slow. You say it is barely faster thana 250x, i have raced one and outran it pretty easy. I wish to argue but until i am convince otherwise it will run 64.
