I quoted a magazine who tested a 99 300ex with a radar gun. 45.46 mph. If you don't believe it, tell them.

And yes, almost all speedometers, in even brand new vehicles, are not accurate.

 

Look buddy apparently not ever speedometer is off bye that much, umm let me think, so if they are off bye 10-20 mph, i am thinking ppl are going to be getting speeding tickets here, duhhhhhhh, yeah that is what i thought, i know what my quad does. hell my old 1982 ford thunderbird was right on the nose for speed, i got a speeding ticket cuz i was doing 41 in a 30, and i looked at my speedo when i saw that cop and that is what the speedo said. dont give me this, "every single car is off" bull.

Actually, no one said car speedometers are off by 10-20 mph. So Ranger the exact moment the cop put that radar on you you looked at the speedometer! Cool! You also mention that you know what your quad does. Your quad is a 250x not 300ex, show how do you transfer your knowledge of the 250x on to the 300ex that you don't own?

I have a STOCK 2000 300EX. I was in my driveway that is pure ice. I hit the throtle and shifted. I have a bicylce speedo on it. I set it up for my tire size. It said 59.6 mph. I know this isn't exacty perfectly accurate buyt darn close. This would be slower of course on a road because of the drag created by going down the road. Just saying that it is completely retarded to say they only go 45mph.

Ranger, if your one of the smartest in the class it must be quite the class! So why did you get rid your cr500 powered 300ex? Don't know why you'd get rid of it when a few posts ago you say you wish you had a 300ex.

Y2K300 - That's nice, but way off and means absolutely nothing. You may as well lift your rear tires of the ground pin the throttle and tell us what the speedo says is your top speed!
