I took the carb off last night for its first cleaning since I got it about 2 months ago. It was always lazy in the bottom end and all the power was there when you hit 1/2 throttle or more. When I took the choke cover plate off the cable side I noticed the adjustment slot was broke off the throttle link. We had the same problem in a friends machine. My fix was to bent the Piston throttle Valve shift arm down until it touched the throttle link. All this time the throttle valve was not opening until I hit atleast half throttle and then it was only opening half of the ways when I was at wide open throttle on the cable.

I am wondering what effect this would have on performance and how rich or lean would it tend to run? I am gonna try it out tonight.
