what do i do when my 250x won't start when it gets hot. there is no problem starting when its cold, but once it gets hot it doesn't like to start. what can be the cause of this and what can i do to fix it? [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

My X has always been hard starting with it's hot. It usually gets worse when the valves need adjusting. But when it's cold it fires up the first kick every time.

 

That is really weird. Mine is a pig to get going when it is cold. If it is below freezing it takes atleast 15 kicks. When it is warm it starts on the first kick every time?

 

If it's hard starting when it's cold try running a hotter spark plug. My X is hard starting when the engine is hot, well hard starting for me is like 3-4 kicks max. But when my engine is cold it takes one kick and thats it every time.
