Default CR 125

My son has a 2001 CR125. How difficult is it to rebuild the top end. We were at the local Honda dealer today and the salesman was telling my kid that these motors need a new top end fairly frequently. Is this a difficult job to do?

Get a service manual and get the parts and have a happy rebuild
piston
rings
clips
upper bearing
pin
head gasket-can reuse by not pulling dome for rebuild
base gasket
