Hotcams had some trouble with loose flange splines on a small batch of them, and now they are inspecting each one before it leaves the shop. They seem to be a very popular aftermarket cam among EX owners. They work fine with stock springs and rockers. I put one in mine, but I also had a bunch of other mods done at the time, so I can't tell you what the cam alone did. I have heard from a bunch of people that use them, and I haven't heard a complaint yet.
