rev kits
I hope you find one and tell it here, I'm looking too. HMF has a pipe and header for the ex at $279 @ hmfengineering.com. How good is this, how quiet? www.moto-man.com has 400ex rev kits for $100, maybe they would have one for the 250. Powroll does an engine bore and porting job that raises compression over 10/1, with a claimed 25% increase in horsepower, any reports on that? it costs just a little more than the pipe and header. Has anyone added wheel spacers up front to increase stability? Mine feels tippy and pushes in turns with stock tires. Someone makes a twist throttle for the ex as well. I guess you could do a whole lot, and run with 300exs. I am really impressed by my stock 250 ex and am willing to do some upgrades.

I think the HMF pipe and header should do pretty good. In fact i almost bought it off that same site but my step dad didnt want to order from there because u would have to call in and order. I heard they run very well with the k&n air filter and dyno jet kit. Im not sure how loud they are. Ive looked at moto man and they dont carry the 250ex rev kits(im not even sure if they make them). I have also looked at the powroll kit for 250ex. That would be nice to have but im not sure i want to put another 300 in to the bike. good luck everyone.

rev kits
I have a 400ex and had LRD install a 440 kit sleeve, piston, milled the head, cam, hardened the rockers, heavier valve spings, and ported and polished.I also installed a hi rev CDI box my quad would not start in cold weather. I found out the hi rev box needs to turn over at a higher RPM than a stock box before it will create a spark to start the engine. I race GNCC and put my stock CDI back on and have no trouble and have not hit the rev limiter. I would do the other mods and save my money. jeff
