read "1badWarrior's" post, it makes sence and has alot of truth in it!"
that is the dumbest, most imature post I've heard in a while.... what are you 13?
Honda took the 250R frame and made it better and stronger (improved the best stock frame ever made) which now makes it the best stock frame EVER, to date.... then, they were the first to put a high-performance 4-stroke engine in that best-ever designed frame....
how is that "the toilet", or "beat", or "beginner", or "last" ??? you don't know what you are talking about....
the DS's, Raptor's, V-Force's, and Predator's are all over-weight quads with decent power....
in my opinion ALL new sport quads are overweight.... but at least Honda, Suzuki, and Cannondale have tried to keep the weight less than 375..... all the Z or EX needs to be a real racer is a big bore kit...... all the other quads need to go on a MAJOR diet.... how are you gonna do that?
the 400EX just in the last few years has taken over the MX tracks and GNCC races from the 250R.... and it will continue to dominate until the NEXT Honda sport quad is released..... face it, the only quad that can beat a Honda all-around, is a next generation Honda.
440EX's also are no joke in the dunes or at BAJA either...
the Raptor outsells all other sport quads because it is marketed as, and has proven to be the fastest and best looking quad, with the most features, and most bolt-on potential of any quad... I like Raptor's for that reason, and if I were to buy a new quad right now it would be a Raptor for trail riding... HOWEVER, if I were to start racing MX or GNCC, I'd send my 400EX to Curtis Sparks, thrown some good shocks on it, and never think twice
PS... my Honda is a 2000 (which was purchased in '99) and has NEVER been to the shop for a repair..... only maintenance (valves and jetting)... still running the same battery
and it has been ridden on average every weekend, been drowned under water, been jumped extensively, raged in the snow often, thrashed the beach in 100 degree weather, rolled down hils, flipped, crashed, raced on several MX tracks, you name it...
bullet-proof is not just a saying....
Honda will be the King of the Jungle again someday, and the Predator & Raptor will be the prey

i didn't mean it the way you made it sound yes you can race a 400 ex but in about 3 or 4 races the frame starts to give in it look at all the videos and go to the tracks were the pro's ride they all have aftermarket frames why stock frames on any quad isn't built to race the raptor is a great machine and has power beyond power but again if you want to race it suspension is a must it's too heavy at 415 pounds maybe like desert racing or harescrambles but it isn't quite set up for mx without some mods on itbut i agree with you man on what said later man

PS, the stock frames on the cannondales have held up just fine for their riders as well. The original honda trx250r frames were very sturdy. The reason you see so many with problems now is because they have been taking beatings for 15 years.

Live up to your name- DONTTALKIFUCANTWALK- Where's the proof? Don't talk if you can't back what you say. You say that you work for Honda and you're from PA. Where in PA is the Honda facility that you work? Is there any in PA?
