My friend just got a beat up 87 250x that needs a lot of work. One thing we can't figure out is the chain adjustment. Are we not seeing something, or is something missing/broken? The bearings are SHOT so we haven't really concentrated on it, but any help is greatly appreciated.

2 metric HEX bolts on the back of the swingarm, loosen these then there is a round tensioner on the right of the sprocket like he said. slide somthing into one of the three grooves and push down this will spin it and tighten the chain.
