i have noticed today that the oil temp light on the right side of the headlight pod came on when i started it today and stays on . i checked the oil level because i had changed it a couple of weeks ago and it was fine . it did it when i first started it so it wasn't hot ( was only 40 out today . does anyone have any ideas . it takes a while of riding to get the fan to kick on anyhow and with it that cold out it didn't today . i could hold my hand on the side of the head so i know it didn't get hot . any help would be greatly appriciated .. thanks jeff page

I've seen this problem before and you need to buy a new fan swicth control box it is on the right side in front by the inner fender. What happens is there is a relay inside that gets stuck and the light comes on I think the price is some where from 75 to 130 or so dallors not cents sorry. I don't know if your fan will come on when it would need to if left alone most likely not though or just put switch on your fan and turn it on when you think it is hot.

Its probably some kind of sensor or something i would say. Yeah ozarkrider03, i wouldnt be talking about hondas reliability because they have the most reliable machines out there. Most all machines will have a small problem here and there though.
