Choke cable adjustment question
#1
Morning all,
While I was reading up on my 2002 recon in the Clymer manual I noticed a section in maintenance for adjusting the choke cable. It stated that the choke cable should have 1-2mm free play at the carb.
Well I knew mine must be wrong because it is long to the point the the actual cable bows out at the carb...in fact to the point that the choke **** sits about 2mm above the little rubber boot when the choke is all the way open.
The manual said to adjust it by loosening the little metal nut where the cable hooks to the choke **** housing, problem is this nut will not loosen on mine so that I can adjust the cable.
Any ideas? Or should I just not worry about it? The choke operates from full open to full close, its just that at full open (**** down) there is excessive cable length.
