Default foreman 450s Vs. 400ex

Geez buddy, calm down a bit. I stand by what I said...I've owned both types of quads, and the only place I don't take my 400ex is in the big mud pits, deep snow, or rock crawling. I ran the Rubicon Trail on a Yamaha Wolverine 3 Summers ago (with no winch). So, there is one place I couldn't get around on my 400. But dang dude...you getting on here and bash 2 wheel drive quads. It just makes you sound like another one of those Ford vs. Chevy kind of arguments.....Thanks for typing in all caps...it makes it easier for the rest of us to read!!! I never said stay away from a 4x4 quad, I was just letting 4rider see the other side of your opinion. That's what these forums are on here for. Otherwise they'd be called HONRAN01's Opinion Pages. Relax...I was never trying to start something with you. You shouldn't be so defensive...you can't tell the context of someone's post just by reading it.

TO EVERYONE ,I PREFER CAP'S AND HAVE MY REASONS, WHICH ARE TO LENGHTY TO EXPLAIN AND AM NOT SHOUTING, ALSO CHAD MY APOLOGIES GO TO YOU AS I GET WILD FROM TIME TO TIME BUT I WAS TRYING TO GET MY POINT OUT JUST LIKE YOU AND AGREE WITH YOU TO A POINT, BUT FROM MY POINT OF VIEW IT STILL SEEMS OFF BASE TO SAY THAT A 2X4 WILL GO WHERE A 4X4 WILL GO. EVERY YEAR I GO TO A MEMORIAL DAY RALLY IN HURLEY,WI AND THERE IS MUD UP TO A CAMELS SACK JUST ABOUT EVERYWHERE MOST YEARS, AND DON'T GET ME WRONG I USE MY WINCH PLENTY BECAUSE OF MY OWN STUPIDITY BUT USE IT TO RETRIEVE MANY OTHERS ALSO BECAUSE I WILL PULL CABLE TO ANY ONE IN NEED AT ANY TIME. AND MORE OFTEN TIMES TO RETREIVE 2X4 SPORT AND UTILITY ALIKE THAT JUST CAN'T GO THROUGH AND ALOT OF TIMES THERE IS NO PLACE TO GET AROUND THE MUD SO IT'S GO OR NO GO OR GO BACK. WITH THAT SAID I AM SORRY TO HAVE LOST IT . THANKS HONRAN01

Have you ridden the EX and Foreman? No comparison in the fun factor, the prize goes to the EX. Now, about getting stuck. You can spend $250++ and add 30 or more pounds to your ride with a winch, which you will use a few times a year. Or you can buy a 1 or 2 ton hand winch "come-along" for $30, and a nylon tow strap. That set up won't weigh 8 lbs, won't alter your wiring, won't freeze or backlash, won't kill your battery, and can be moved to your truck, boat, tree stand or whatever with no worries. You may get stuck on the EX a bit riding with 4x4s, let them tow you out, they'll get a fat woody over Saving Bubba's A$$ From the Gators. And you'll have an easier machine to ride, much more performance, lower maintenance, better mod options, WAAAAY less weight (maybe 200 lbs), and you can give them a ride back to the truck when they run out of gas halfway through a 60 mile ride. You can give the Polaris owners rides every time their quads break. Never mind the occasional utility, go for the sport model. Ride Red, Fred!
