Default 250EX !!!!!!!

I considered doing everything from snorkle circumcision to powroll.com's big bore kit. Then I found a Suzuki quadracer for a thousand bucks that more than meets my Need For Speed. So I opted for reliability and ease of use on the EX, since it is the wife's machine mainly. I put the Outerwear fabric airbox lid replacement on, went with a 92 jet @ 5000' elev, it runs as strong as we need. If I were to add exhaust, I'd spend the extra to get the header pipe along with the exhaust upgrade. I'll probably put a ProMotion twist throttle on it because her thumb hurts on the standard throttle. I may put durablue wheel spacers on the fronts to make the front tires 3" farther apart, as stability is an issue. It is what it is, so I decided not to spend a chunk barely making it what it iisn't. Hope that helps, the 250EX is GREAT as it is.

if you are really concerned with making the 250 faster, you might just want to buy a 300ex.

If you put the mods i have on it(in my profile)then it will be faster then the 300EX...My friend has a 300EX and with my pipe and K&N Filter and jet kit and all that crap it seems like mine has more power...no offense Jay it just seems like that...Putting mods on quads are fun too so if you want something with O.K speed with mods i recommend my quad

If you get the April 2003 issue of ATV Action, there is an article on page 56, titled "Duncan Racing Project Honda 250EX". There is a lot of good info there.

go with the pro circtuit t 4 full system. it adds power throught out the entire power band. the k&n air filter helps alot to , i bought outerwear for it and took the airbox lid off so more air can flow through it. diff tires will help u accelorate alot faster.

The 250ex is a very reliable machine. BUT I dont recommend rear wheel spacers because they put to much stress on the rear axle on the left side. I've had to replace ours twice already, After my 12 year old son bent the axle coming down off of a 3 ft jump! The axle is made of light weight aluminum and cant handle the extra leverage the rear 2.5 durablue spacers put on it. The front 1.5 spacers though really help the quad handle better! I talked to honda directly about the axle problem, but they told me the quad wasn't designed to be jumped like that! After the 2nd axle was replaced, I took off the rear spacer kit and left it stock he hasn't had any more trouble with it! (over 1 year now). Other than changing the oil religiously every 5 hour of riding ( due to the autoclutch trans needs clean oil to last a long time) its a excellent machine all around, and I would recommend it to anyone!
