Default Piston and Cam?

This has probably been asked before but bear with me,

I am looking for more power from my ex and i was thinking about a piston and cam. I want to be able to run pump gas and I want a standard bore piston, any thoughts?

Also I was thinking stage 2 hot cam but how much bottom would I loose?

How much do you think i'm looking at for piston, cam, and gaskets and how hard is it all to install?

Default Piston and Cam?

The amount of money you spend will represent the quality of the parts you use. The stage II cam will take away from lower end power, however this power is genneraly repllaced with compression power...If you want pump gas I would recomend staying around 10to 1
With a good manual somebody with general knowledge and a helping dealer/friend can get it done properly
that bieng said we are rebuilding a 440 that somebody let a "buddy" build...a few mistakes later he has a chewed up Ross piston, destroyed head/rockers/cam
So by saving about $120 he cost himself quite a bit more
Bottom line figure on spending
Piston kit 100-300
cam 100-300
gasket kit 45
machine work 2-10(bottle hone the cyl)
clutch springs 15
