so i got the 400ex for my son he is young and the machine is a excellent machine for him. well i take it for a couple of rides, and the chance comes along to race a kfx 400, well i keep hearing that the suzukis are faster, well i pulled the guy on our dunes hill, well since i have had several chances to run and over all it seems very close but the honda seems to edge out a win more than not. i'm only saying it is a win off a half quad but for a machine that is suppost to be slower, i'm rather pleased with the honda. are the rest of you losing with your hondas? this is dune riding, and i already know that rider and size make a difference.

I can keep up with stock Zs on my stock ex until mid range 5th gear

 

well like i said i bought it for a 10 year old and his 83 pounds let it fly, but even with my 180 pounds it still has great power, and i feel like i'm always in the race with honda's or z's. it actually has a interesting side for me seems there is a lot of mostly stock ex's and there is were riding skills come in. on the ds it is shear force and either you have it or you don't, and when racing banshees once you don't it is a large gap.
