atvgod since a blaster can beat a 300ex stock to stock how do you figure a 300ex is faster. so my 230 quadsport can do 89 yeah right get a life. you are some stupid kid lost in cyber space that thinks all this supid stuff up that isn't even true and lie to everyone. i bet you have a quadzilla that does a 110 and you blow by cars on the highway all the time.i am almost going to beleive you.

 

ATVGOD I THINK U MEANT TO PUT A 5 INSTEAD OF A 6 BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY A WARRIOR BLASTER OR 300EX WILL GO THAT FAST. AND IF U MEANT TO PUT THE 6 NEED TO FIND SOMEWHERES ELSE TO GET YOUR INFO BECAUSE THAT IS WAY WRONG.

Haha atvgod5 that is funny why would somebody buy a 400ex when a 300ex is anly 2 mph slower and the warrior 1 mph slower. I have a slightly moded 96 warrior that will do maybe 57 a pretty slightly moded 97 300ex that will do maybe 55 a moded 250r that will do probably 68-70 and my dads moded qaudzilla will do 78-80 on a good day. I hate kids that say there wheelers are so fast it seems every kidatmy school has a banshee blaster or warrior that will go over 100mph and there blaster is a 300 and is stock. and I also don't like how kids where fox jersy's and don't even ride I walked into a clothing store and there was a fox jersey man I wanted to rip it down.

 

I used to think these stock machines went a lot faster too at one time, but mind you, quick acceleration can lead you to believe a higher top speed than you actually have.

I have 500 AC. The fastest I have got my speedometer to read was like 59 downhill on pavement. Now it will show 54 on flat pavement. I took about 6 or 7 good long trial runs clocking it by letting a guy get it maxed out on a county road. Then I would settle in behind him about 10 yards and just watch the speedometer in a 2000 Silverado Z71 ext. cab. It was consistent. He topped out at an even 50mph. Every now and then it would hit 51 or 49, but for the most part it stayed right on 50. The Arctic Cat speedometer read 54, a 4 mile an hour difference between that and what was probably its actual speed. I will buy the speedometer reading on the $30,000 truck over the $6000 quad any day. Guys with GPS's don't lie either. Most Sportsmans around around 57 on the GPS's around here. I can believe that, but all these stock 80 mph quads are a load of horsecrap.

Top speed is the end all of all arguements. No one will ever change anyone else's mind, and everyone always thinks they are right. Its best to just leave it alone, because a top speed arguement will never end unless the two guys who differ, get together with a radar gun and clock each other. Even then, the loser will find an excuse.

 

I would take a 60mph quad that accelerates like a bat outta you know where rather than one that does 100mph, like im going to go that fast.

When was the last time anyone on an ATV decided in the middle of a trail ride, "hey I need to do 110 mph right now or this just isn't any fun." Riding an ATV is not a constant race. Don't get me wrong fast can be fun. However, fast doesn't always apply to every riding experience. WE on this forum are all ATV people and should for no reason feel the need to rip at another fellow atver's opinion. No matter how out of touch those opinions may be, they are still just opinions. I find it infuriating that "true riders" feel some desire to expose and shred the "posers" among us. Sometimes it seems like a minority of the Off Roading world speak the loudest and make the rest of us look like total idiots with their comments.
Best guess on speeds would be as follows:
Banshee 70-75
400 ex 65-70
300 ex/250x 52-57
Blaster Not a clue
Warrior Not a clue

 

I have a 300ex with some performance mods and i also get every dirtwheels mag in the mail and i know it was ethir dirt wheels or another mag that did a shootout between all the sport quads and stock 300ex was the slowest i beleve it, but it is the slowest for a good reason because honda doesn't make things to blow away other things they make them to be reliable and last FOREVER yamaha on the other hand makes fast quad without the reliablity of the hondas
I used to have a Banshee fairly stock and then i got my 300ex in 98 BEFORE THE 400ex came out I love it some would say that I downgraded my bike to the 300ex but I dissagree My banshee had problems with everything and the stock pipe's are *** on it and it is just DOUBLE TROBLE
There for what i am getting at is that it doesn't matter how fast your machine is (Unless you are raceing (Banshee's arn't the greatest for that neiter)it is all in the reliablity
