Performance upgrades for Rincon
I just purchased a dynajet jet kit and a uni air filter for my honda rincon. I am wondering if anyone else has done this, and what results I can expect to get when I install these upgrades this weekend. I hope someone else is trying power upgrades so we can discuss the results later on. I will be posting my results after I get it set up. Stock my rincon was able to go 63 mph and I hope this will increase. Does anyone have any tips on an aftermarket exhaust system. If I still want my atv to be somewhat quiet, what would be a good choice for an aftermarket exhaust system?

HMF has a rincon slip on exhaust system that says it can give some huge power gain. maui put one on and i havent heard from him since. maybe it worked too good and he wrecked?

Make sure you rejet the carb or else the HMF will over heat and blow the end out of the muffler. Had that problem this weekend do some extended high speed mile. To much heat caused the aluminum to break down. Back pressure blew muffler apart. HMF sent me an new one and recommend jetting from 155 to 160 as the stock jet is 152 I went with a 158. I'll let you know what it did. I did notice a differance in the horse power though. Can now bring the front end up with out much effort.

rejetted the carberator with the dynajet kit, using a #44 jet and a UNI air filter. The #44 is what the recommended jet for my setup was according to dynajet. I would recommend doing this mod to anyone with a rincon. I noticed a significant increase in low to mid range power. I used to have to pull wheelies from a dead stop, but I was able to get the machine up to the balencing point starting at 5 mph, and can lift the front end off the ground a foot or so from 7-8 mph. Also along a certain stretch of RR track, I previously would be able to cruise at 45 mph as it is rough and after rejetting, i was able to go 52 mph in the same area. So for the 80 bucks it set me back, I thought it was very worth it. I am looking forward to this summer when I will be able to afford a new exhaust system. Although I am looking for a system which will increase flow a bit without being too much louder, since I sometimes ride in areas where we dont like to broadcast our presence if you know what i mean. I have a Rincon with a Big Gun exhaust and a K & N filter. Power is up, but so is noise. Much louder than stock. To the point where I shift out of 1st under hard acceleration at about 15 mph. Could use another gear for highspeed cruising which is way louder than before. Also I noticed a loss in fuel economy. About 20% thirstier if not more.
