honda rincon stalling problem
#1
Just wondering if any other rincon owners are experiencing stalling problems during deceleration on declines, or during uphill climbs, and I may add that this could be at very inopertune times,as I recently experienced . the engine stalled as I was about to crest a steep hill, causing the bike to roll backwards and then end over end...BIG OUCH.! Honda says they have no reports of the stalling problem., and so will not be helping me out. Any info would be appreciated. THANKS...BENT and BUSTED...!

How broken in is your machine? My bike stalled a lot when new or when the motor was cold. But it happened mostly at idle and not under load. I have 760 miles on it and it still takes a while to warm up.

rincong..I have 700 klms on the bike; even warmed up it stalls on hard stops, or hard turns, When the bike flipped on me it was the first time it stalled going uphill. The dealer says the idle is fine , and everything looks ok, honda says they have no reports on this. So I think I will try the jetting route.....The "BAJA" mod is removing the stock spark arrester , build a new mounting plate, in combination with 1 7/8. dia. pipe with the same length as old pipe, tack on new screen . Result on my bike was 5klm increase increase in top speed, thats 2-3 mph, and noticeably more torque on bottom end. Took about an hour to make , need a mig welder. Cheap power. " I love it". Thanks for reply!
