Yes.... By a LOT. First I'm sure you don't really mean Taller Haulers you probably mean Haulers or Extreeme Haulers. A stock 400ex should have maybe 7 paddles at the most.

21" x 12" x 8" 8-paddle haulers work great on a couple of buddies' 400ex's.

Wyoduner is right on the money.
7 paddle haulers MAX(don't bother with extremes they are the same size as haulers). We have 3 banshees all set up the same(k&n,pipes,timing+4) one with 7 paddle haulers,8 paddle,9 paddle. Bottom line: the 7 paddle wins most of the time by a small margin due to quicker rpms. You may also want to look at some of the lower priced paddles if you are on a budget. With a stock 400EX they should be adequate for recreational riding. If you do alot of racing the haulers will hook up better.

Ditto!
7 is plenty.... I bought a set of 12 paddle haulers from a banshee guy... he could only run them backwards, and they still were too much...

Only on the mega horsepower machines do you need more paddle.... More is not always better.
Sand devils would be a great tire for a 400X... and fairly cheap too.

Hey RaptorRon,

Just was looking at your sig, and noticed you're doing a project LT with a sled motor... way cool, and if done right, they'll haul.
You still got the old 500 motor or parts thereof??? Wanna sell??

Let me know.

10 paddles tallers are way way too much! Go with 7 or 8 paddle hualers. You migth get more performance out fo the 7's at first but if you beef it up after a while the 8's will be the money.

10 paddle taller haulers are good for a modded Quadzilla or Banshee. Even 8 paddle Taller haulers are a lot for a stock bike. I almost always see normal 8 paddle Skat traks on 400ex's and z400's. Oh, and RaptorRon, the Extremes are suppose to be the same size as a normal Hauler. The difference is that they are stiffer by being reinforced. Also, I have never seen a Banshee with less than 8 paddles at Glamis. I run 20X10X10 8 paddle haulers on my 86 LT250 and it works great. Also consider your tire size. a 22" tire requires more power to turn than a 20" tire. I recommend going with the 20" tire with 8 paddles. You will be happy, especially if you add some performance mods
