Hey guys,
Is a 20:1 oil ratio mix really nes. on an 86 TRX 250R ? I have had it for a while (since 87) and have never givin it much thought. It smokes a lot when cold and then seems to get better as it warms up. The engine is stock except for a K&N, but thinking of going with a new pipe and carb soon (maybe the CT 310 complete kit).I have never seen anything else that requires that much of an oil mix before!

Run a god oil and you will have no problems runing 32:1 Some guys run 50:1 I think that is very lean but you no what they say LEAN IS MEAN!!!

I think 40:1 is the ideal ratio. No smoke and you never have to worry about foulin a plug or if your depriving the piston either.
