I'm installing a motionpro twist throttle. The directions say to take the carb cap off the factory cable so I can use the stock carb cap and rubber sealing boot atop the cap on the new cable. But I can't get the %#&@## stock cap off the cable. Any ideas? The motionpro kit comes with a new cap but no rubber boot to seal the connection between the cable and cap, so I can't use the new parts without the rubber boot stuck on the stock cap assembly. Have I confused you? Thanks in advance for any help.

 

You don't remove the cable from the top, use then one...wrap a piece of electrical tape around it...problem solved.
