Default 400ex vs Blaster

I have a chance to buy a 2000 400ex for $1,800 that runs great but has cracked plastic which will not be a problem because I was going to buy maier's zest orange plastic anyway. But was wondering how it will do against my friends blaster.

Thanks for any replies

Mark

A 400EX should blow the doors off of a blaster. I have never seen a 400ex run, but my cousin has a blaster and i can almost hang with him on my foreman 400. The blaster is a great machine, but it wont be able to hang with a 400ex.I also hear the 400ex is a very reliable machine too.My honda has been, so it should be about the same.

Sadly the Blaster doesn't have much of a chance. Remember there is a 200cc engine size difference

the 400ex would blow the blaster away, it is a 200cc difference.

Get the 400ex, I have a blaster that is full race that can beat a stock 400EX. But then you are limited to what you can do to the blaster once you get that much $$$$$$$$$$$ into it. If you are young you can always grow into the 400 and then do some mods. The blaster is alot lighter than the 400 if you are young you can handle it better.

I know that, you dont think imdo you sorry I was j/k. Correct me if im wrong but with two-strokes there is a (cant think of the word) "power stroke" once every revolution, where four-strokes are every other?, which makes the two stroke almost double the "power" of four strokes but the four strokes make more torque...

Well Im sorry if I confused you, but its hard describing it on the computer. Anyone else with an ex that can answer any of my questions???

if you think about it is like comparing a sportrax 90 to a banshee, big difference

i own a 400ex and my buddie used to own a blaster that was setup for hair scrambles and well my 400 ex blew it away eveny while it was stock,
so recommended you get the 400ex,
a blaster you got to mix the gas and well not to many people enjoy the sound of 2 stroke zooming by their house,

You do not have to mix the bas on a blaster unless you block off the tank on the back.
