That would be around 45-50 horses from the shee and like 34-36 from the 416ex...with not much difference in weight...Either he's an awful driver, or yer pulling our legs on that one. (Or maybe his quad ain't tuned near good)...Or he needs tires really bad...

I just got an 03 Raptor to replace my 400EX. The 400 beloing to my g/f now but it resides at my house.....and I am VERY glad that it does.
I LOVE the Raptor,but I still find myself going back and playing on the 400EX a lot.
Its an amazing machine,but I do think its a bit underpowered,and I would love to have reverse.
i never really missed not having reverse until I got the Raptor,which had reverse.
The EX handles and stops better than my 660,and I will always adore the 400EX for the traits it has.
I love the 400EX but I DO think its time for it to evolve in order to keep up with the competition.
If they sold a 450EX with liquid cooling and reverse,I woulda owned it over the Raptor.

his bike is tuned perfectly. We work with a guy that builds 2 stoke engines on the side and he tuned it. The banshee does need new tires but so do I, we both still have the stock tires, He could have 75 Hp and me still only have 30 something and as long as i get the power to the ground i am going to beat him. that is why you don't see many banshees racing mx. I beat him on dirt, once we get on the sand and he gets all that power hooked up then i am sure he will beat me. but i bet it will be close unless we start going up hills. And i promise i am not pulling your leg

your telling me man, i have tried to explain it a couple of time's but these morons don't understand that getting the power to the ground is more important than HP, I guess you have tried to tell people that you have beat banshee too, what kind of bike do you have?

Well I have a 97 banshee that has long rods,its ported,pipedand everything but stroked. I also have an 01 400ex. The EX is coming down this weekend for a 440 stroker. It still wont come close to the speed and power of the damshee but aleast it will still be fun to ride. If honda would give the 400 reverse I think they could stop designing quads forever thats how much I like my ex.
