I currently have a 38mm PJ with some junk parts. The choke/idle tower and slide TOGETHER is going to cost around $100 to fix since the PJ is discontinued. I have decided to upgrade to either the 38mm PWK Air Striker OR Lectron Powerjet. I need INFORMED and EXPERIENCED opinions, please. Which one? Why?

Sorry it took so long to reply. My CT 310 motor has: FMF pipe and silencer, RPM Billet Aluminum Exhaust Flange, Boyesen RAD Valve with a Hinson Torque Reed Spacer, Hinson clutch Basket, Barnett Dirt Digger Clutch, Pro Design Super Cooler running Redline's Water Wetter additive, along with a K and N filter. I'm running a 50/50 mix of Sunoco 110 and Shell 93 gas with Klotz R-50 at 32:1 ratio. The entire quad is set up for Cross-Country racing EXCEPT for the Ricky Stator 110 watt Aluminators and 200 watt stator mod. Now about my CARB delimma. I contacted Carb Parts Warehouse for the parts for my 38mm PJ AND asked them if it would be adviseable to upgrade to the Air Striker. They said that I would "notice a significant increase in overall power and throttle response." I also posted another FORUM in the Performance Forum comparing Lectrons to the Keihin Air Strikers, and the overwhelming opinion was that the PWK Air Striker was THE way to go with a GAS motor. So, I called CT and ordered a 38mm PWK A.S. Unfortunately it's currently backordered. I'm sure that it may be slightly better (in WHOOPS especially) but I wouldn't be changing UNLESS my PJ was the worse for wear. I'm curious--what are the jetting SPECS for your PJ. Thanks for you reply, Happy Trails!
