Default Does RINCON have enough pulling power?

I'm a 450 Foreman owner contemplating upgrading to a RINCON. However, I have heard that the low end is no where near the 450ES in first gear. Is this true? Comments appreciated.

What do you plan on pulling and how often ?

I find it has lots of low end grunt .

I mean pulling a moose out of a bog. The 450 does it.

The Rincon will pull your moose out no trouble at all.

I have used my Rincon to haul round bales from a barn 2 miles down the road from my house. I built a cart for my fourwheeler with a very heavy axal and placed a 800-900 lb 4 x 5 ft round bale in the cart. It pulled it very well, and I was surprised that it would handle pulling something that large and heavy. But I have used it for this purpose at least 10 times this winter and had no troubles. I have also used it to haul firewood, and found that it pulled the loads better than my honda rancher did. The only trouble is that you have to balance your load in the cart so as not to exceed the strength of the rear suspension, something you dont have to worry about as much on a solid axle machine

Thanks for the feedback. I see what you mean about balancing the load re:independant rear suspension.

Did you know the Rincon has 16 rear wheel horsepower? Thats not alot. Compare it to other big bores that have about 30 rear wheel horsepower and you will see the Rincon is under powered for what it offers. I say keep your 450 ES and save some money or get a Rubicon.

That's one way of looking at it. Does the Rubicon have more pulling power?

The Rubicon I would say is much more suited towards work than the Rincon. A solid rear axle is better for heavy work, provides a rougher ride than IRS and the Rubicon is geared more towards work too. Try out the Rubicon and I bet you will like it.
