Sorry I was late in posting a reply. I just joined the site yesterday and posted the first time today.

I mainly hunt whitetail deer in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for whitetail deer and bear. Deer is every year but bear is about every 2-3 years depending on drawing tags. We have a great time and an atv is a must. I've got a '94 Yamaha Kodiak 400 and a '98 Suzuki Quadrunner 500 both stock. I think of putting ITP 589s on the 500.

I try to make it to Idaho with some iron worker friends of mine and Colorado with my brother. These hunts are combined deer and elk hunts. Idaho we use our atvs but Colorado we go into the wilderness on horseback. I can't make these hunts as often as I would like due to time constaints with everything else that goes along with life. That includes drawing tags so I have to wait to get preference points for the areas we like to hunt.

Bow season in Michigan starts October 1, rifle season starts November 15 and muzzleloader season starts December 6. I'm ready for them. I've got 2 buck tags and 3 doe tags. I plan to fill the doe tags on the muzzleloader hunt and the buck tags only if a mature buck happens to come by. I do not allow young bucks to be shot at my camp unless it is by the kids. Blinds, tree stands and food plots are all ready for me to start letting some air out of the deer herd.

Good Luck to all fellow hunters

I hunter deer with a berreta 12 gauge rifled slug barrel with a scope mount on it. I hunt turkeys with the same gun except with my other barrel and half choke(I think). my dad hunts deer with his remingtion 870 express supper mag. with a riffled slug barrel and sights. Hu hunts turkiew with the smae gun and same set up as I do. He also just won a gun at the pheasents forever banquet (dont know exactly what brand because I didnt pay to much attention)

The biggest deer I have gotten was a 8 point buck (not very big though)
biggest bird was 12 pounds I think.

I hunt anything with wings that the dnr lets me. Stopped deer hunting last year to become a full time duck hunter. I use a 12 gauge Baretta Extrema 3.5 inch shotgun for ducks, doves, pheasants, and geese. I use a .22 for rabbit hunting, and I use the good old 870 for trap shooting.

I mainly hunt in west Tn for deer. I love to duck hunt but I live in a duck desert (Knoxville Tn). I now shoot a Winchester Model 70 300 WSM and a Knight DISC rifle 50cal. My duck and goose gun is a Mossberg 835 with Briley chokes. We travel every year to Fl. to do some pig hunting and fishing. I trapped bears for USMC for a year while in college at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. I have a Polaris Sp 700 that gets me around the woods. My largest deer is a 13 point that I shot in Stewart Co. TN. He dressed 186 lbs. You can check him out at TnDeer.com in the trophy room. Good Hunting!

I hunt deer and elk with bow, black powder, slug gun (deer), and rifle. My largest rack whitetail was with a bow, 11 points. My largest whitetail weight was a 10 point that weighed 210 lbs dressed with black powder. My one and only mule deer was 5x4 with bow at 55 yards. My one and only elk was 5x5 with rifle at 400 yards. I am going to Canada for black bear next fall, I'll use a bow or my 30-06 Encore pistol. My hunting rifles are Rem 700s with aftermarket barrels, one Douglas in 300 Wby and the other Kreiger in 300 RUM. My black powder rifle is a CVA Apollo. My slug guns are a single shot H&R 20 gauge slugger and a 12 gauge Mossburg 500 trophy slugster. My bows are a High Country Excalibur 80lbs and a Martin (forget the model) 89lbs. I've got my eye on a new Mathews bow, if I go bow for bear in Canada, I'll probably upgrade for the trip. I've killed more spikes and does than I can count, I used to average 4-5 deer a year before I got into fishing and quads:-)
