Killed my first "racked" buck at our cabin in WVa. (my first buck after 8 years of hunting). Nice 8 point, not real tall but wide 15" inside spread. Real nice for a mountain buck....No pics but he's at the taxi's, should be done in three months.
Aint seen many bucks in MD but LOTS of does...Hung up the rifle after I killed that buck so its bowhunting for the rest of the season...
Congratulations to all others with a successful season and good luck to those still hanging in. Remember any deer is a trophy...A really really tasty trophy...

Congrats to everyone. I hunt 3000 acres in western Oklahoma and killed a nice 9pt weighed in at 150#s. It was a quick shot and I really thought he was bigger than he was. Still a very nice buck though.
I bowhunt behind my house in OKC city limits (5 acres residential area) and man I have got 3 huge bucks running out there. They gotta be 150-170 class bucks. Opening day of archery I took a shot at one of them coming in to a corn feeder with 9 other deer but missed the mark. OUCH! I had major buck fever as I was on the ground behind a blind I made in a cedar tree and had all those deer eyes looking around...Thats the amazing thing about hunting especially with a bow, you never outgrow buck fever no matter how accomplished you are at hunting the wary animal.
I have had does and small bucks so close to me out there I could have spit on them from my tree stand. I just dont want to shoot them and spook the bigger guys and besides a dead deer that runs to my neighbors property is gonna have to be worth any hassel they might give me, lol.
